About Us

Hafen, Buckner, Everett & Graff, PC, as it would come to be known, was established over several years. H. Val Hafen, CPA, a sole proprietorship, was started in January, 1970 after Val had worked for Bradshaw, Snow & Mathis for several years. In 1982, Val and Gerald R. Buckner (Gerry) formed the partnership of Hafen, Buckner & Company. Gerry brought six years of Big 8 experience in auditing and three years of internal audit and general accounting experience to the firm. In 1987, H. Wayne Everett became a partner and in 1991, George Graff was admitted into the partnership and the firm name was changed to Hafen, Buckner, Everett & Graff, LC. Some time later, the firm changed to Hafen, Buckner, Everett & Graff, PC, a professional corporation. Tadd Hafen was admitted as a shareholder in 2001. Today, in addition to the five partners, our firm includes seven professional accountants and four members of our support staff.

From the beginning, we have provided tax and accounting services, and with the admission of Gerald R. Buckner in 1981, we began to provide audit, review and other attestation services.

Over the years, as new staff have joined the firm, the underlying purpose of Hafen, Buckner, Everett & Graff, PC, has remained unchanged. We have always been dedicated to providing the best quality work at the lowest possible cost to you, the consumer. We pride ourselves on maintaining good customer relations and the number of clients that are referred to us each year affirms our belief that our customers are very pleased with the services they receive.

To ensure continued quality in our accounting and auditing services, we joined the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Division of CPA Firms, Private Companies Practice Section in 1988. Our voluntary membership requires that we undergo a quality review every three years by specially-trained outside CPA’s. The reports issued by these CPA’s in 1989, 1992, 1995, 1998, 2001 and 2004 were unqualified, meaning quality in our accounting and auditing services met or exceeded professional standards.
